Tilefish is the sole trading name of Amy Byrne, former Secretary of the Association of British Scrabble Players and one of the top ranked Scrabble players in Scotland.
Amy is helped with the business by her husband Martin. Together they offer Scrabble enthusiasts a one-stop shop for playing equipment and accessories, together with a small selection of books and other board games hand-picked to appeal to like-minded folk. The business was founded by Stewart Holden in October 2005 and subsequently taken over by Amy and Martin in July 2008.

Why are you called 'Tilefish'?
A tilefish is an edible North American cod fish and hence a valid word in Scrabble. Scrabble is played with tiles and people often fish for the right letters! We liked the word and thought was an interesting and memorable choice for a business name, one which also lent itself easily to creating a logo.
Can I get a discount for a large order?
Postage is free on all orders over £100 (this is calculated automatically). If you are ordering a large number of the same item on behalf of a Scrabble Club or other event, email us and we'll be happy to help out if we can.
Does the logo have a name?
No, but you are welcome to email us with suggestions.
